Third International Conference on Food Studies 15th to 16th October 2013 Austin, Texas, USA The International Advisory Board is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Third International Conference on Food Studies. The Food Studies Conference will be held 15-16 October 2013 at the University of Texas at Austin in Austin, TX, USA. We welcome proposals from a variety of disciplines and perspectives to contribute to the conference discourse. We also encourage faculty and research students to submit joint proposals for paper presentations, colloquia or panel discussions. Proposals are invited that address issues on Food Studies through one of the following categories: Theme 1: Food Production and Sustainability Theme 2: Food, Nutrition and Health Theme 3: Food Politics, Policies and Cultures Presenters may also choose to submit written papers for publication in the fully refereed Food Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal. If you are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual registrations are also available which allow you to submit an article based on your presentation for possible publication in this fully refereed academic journal. Proposals for in-person presentations should be submitted by 16 September 2013 (title and short abstract). Proposals submitted after this day will be accommodated in non-themed sessions at the conference or are eligible for virtual registrations (no attendance at conference required with virtual presentations).
