International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad invites applications for posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the disciplines of Political Science, Philosophy, Economics and History. We may also consider candidates in the disciplines of Anthropology, Sociology, and Literature.

IIIT-H is known as a research-focused university excelling in all aspects of information technology and its application to other domains. We wish to bring this research-focused pedagogy to our innovative new dual degree programme where students take courses in Computer Science and the Humanities and Social Sciences. Students are also required to produce a research dissertation which brings together methods, perspectives, and problems from both streams. IIIT-H also offers a range of general humanities and social science electives in its other undergraduate programmes.

Selected faculty will be expected to have a strong research foundation, preferably with a track record of inter- and multi-disciplinary work, and should be willing to supervise undergraduate and posts-graduate research in the humanities and social sciences apart from teaching courses at various levels. Interested candidates should have a Ph.D in the listed disciplines or show demonstrable research in the humanities and social sciences if from other disciplines. IIIT-H is happy to consider candidates from all nationalities who are willing to work from Hyderabad.
