International Conference on "Green & Sustainable Schools, Colleges and Academic Institutions - A Solution to Climate Change"

International Conference on "Green & Sustainable Schools, Colleges and Academic Institutions - A Solution to Climate Change"

Schools, colleges and academic institutions can do a great deal to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and indeed, many of them around the world are starting to do so. Some of them are taking actions and aiming to go carbon neutral, creating working groups, getting energy audits of their campuses and then implementing suggestions. The main strength of academic institutions is the positive spins offs of working together for a common goal while doing lots of different things at individual school levels and sharing the rich experience for wider acceptance of initiatives by each academic institute.

The objective of the conference is to create a platform that would bring together principals and senior authorities from various renowned schools, colleges and academic institutions, climate change subject experts, policy makers, national/ international organizations, technology providers, funding organisations working in the area of climate change to discuss and understand the very need of making schools sustainable and also to suggest model solutions for academic institutions in India.
