Dear scholar,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Global Peace and Harmony Conference (GPHC-2013) on 21st September, 2013 to be held at the convention centre, JNU, New Delhi., India.  The theme of the conference is "World Peace and harmony through ancient indian wisdom in 21st century" on the occasion of International Peace Day. The conference is jointly organized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), and Global Peace Foundation (GPF) India. The objective of the conference is to promote a culture of peace and harmony in 21st century through ancient Indian wisdom. It intends to promote reconciliation, mutual respect, harmony and cooperation, with the spirit of a 'Global Family' (vasudaika kutumbakam).

Submission date: Last date for sending abstract is 10th September, 2013 along with filled registration form. Papers approved by the organising committee will be allowed for presentation in the conference. Papers should be prepared in 12 point in times new roman in MS office 2007 version   and can be sent to the conference Email: globalpeaceharmonyconference@gmail.com
Programme: Registration will be started at 8.45 AM on the 21st September, 2013 in auditorium 2, Convention Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. There will be four simultaneous sessions before lunch and four sessions after lunch. Each session will be of one and half hour duration. 
1145 -1330: Technical Sessions 
  • Technical Sessions 1: Intercultural understanding & Interfaith dialogue for World Peace.
  • Technical Sessions 2: Education for building Harmonious Society.
  • Technical Sessions 3: Role of Religions for World Peace  & Human Unity.
  • Technical Sessions 4: Role of ancient Vedic literature for World Peace and harmony.
1330 -1415 Lunch Break 
1415 – 1525: Technical Sessions 
  • Technical Sessions 5: Science and Philosophy: Towards World Peace
  • Technical Sessions 6: Contribution of Indian Philosophical systems for Peace & Harmony in 21st Century.
  • Technical Sessions 7:  Role of Women in Building Global Peace and Emergence of New World Order.
  • Technical Sessions 8:  Role of India's Ancient Culture "Vasudaika kutumbakam" (whole globe is a single Family) in building Global Peace and harmony.
Venue: Registration, Inaugural and Valedictory will be held in auditorium 2, Convention Centre, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Sessions will be held in Special Centre for Sanskrit Studies, JNU, New Delhi.
Registration fee: No Registration Fee. Lunch and high tea will be provided during the conference. 
Travel: No TA/DA will be paid to attend this conference. Candidates have to make their own travel arrangement. 
Accommodation: JNU guest house accommodation will be provided for one day for outside delegates if intimated soon but subject to the availability of the rooms in JNU guest house.
