Job Title: Senior Programme Manager / Deputy DirectorOrganization and Location: Housing and Land Rights Network (HLRN), New Delhi (www.hic-sarp.org) Background: Housing and Land Rights Network (HLRN) is dedicated to action for the recognition, defence and full implementation of everyone's right to a secure place to live in peace and dignity. Required Qualifi cations / Skills:  • A postgraduate degree in social sciences or related fi elds. • A strong and demonstrated commitment to promoting social justice and human rights. • At least fi ve years experience working at a senior organizational management level, including experience with administration, fundraising, and organizational and fi nancial management. • At least 6-7 years experience in human rights work/social justice, with a good understanding of the human rights system. Experience and knowledge of housing, land and livelihood issues. • Well-developed written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi. • Very strong writing, research and analytical skills.  • Experience in fundraising, including writing funding proposals and grant reports. • Experience in advocacy – preferably at both the national and international level.  • Experience in working with the media, including in writing press releases.  • Ability to travel when required.Core Competencies: • Self-motivated and well-organised, and able to deliver under pressure and meet strict deadlines. • Ability to work independently and as a team player.  • Ability to coordinate projects, network effectively, and communicate well with partners. • Ability to maintain ethical and organizational norms, fi rmly adhering to codes of conduct. Primary Responsibilities:  • Assisting with the management of staff, fi nances, administration and programmes at HLRN. • Fundraising, including developing fundraising proposals, monitoring, and reporting to funders. • Developing and implementing ideas and proposals for activities, research and publication.  • Organizing and coordinating HLRN events, meetings and workshops. • Helping to coordinate advocacy and campaigns at different levels.Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.
