SIXTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SPORT & SOCIETY University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, USA 2-3 June 2016 CALL FOR PAPERS The Sixth International Conference on Sport and Society will be held at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, USA, 2-3 June 2016. We invite proposals for paper presentations, workshops, posters, colloquia, or virtual sessions addressing one of the following themes: Theme 1: Sporting Cultures and Identities Theme 2: Sport and Health Theme 3: Sports Education Theme 4: Sports Management and Commercialization 2016 SPECIAL THEME: "Leisure, Play, Action: Ecological Awareness in Sports" CONFERENCE SUBMISSION DEADLINES We welcome the submission of proposals to the conference at any time of the year before the final Late Proposal Deadline (see below). All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission. The dates below serve as a guideline for proposal submission based on our corresponding registration deadlines. *Early Proposal Deadline – 2 November 2015* Regular Proposal Deadline – 2 March 2016 Late Proposal Deadline – 2 May 2016 A COLLECTION OF JOURNALS The Sport & Society Collection aims to be a definitive resource supporting an interdisciplinary conversation on the relationships between sports and societies.
