CALL FOR PAPERS

The Twenty-fourth International Conference on Learning will be held at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, USA, 19-21 July 2017. Founded in 1989, The Learner Knowledge Community is brought together around a common concern for learning in all its sites, formal and informal, and at all levels, from early childhood, to schools, colleges and universities, and adult, community, and workplace education.

We invite proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, virtual lightning talks, virtual posters, or colloquia addressing one of the following themes:

Theme 1: Pedagogy and Curriculum
Theme 2: Assessment and Evaluation
Theme 3: Educational Organization and Leadership
Theme 4: Early Childhood Learning
Theme 5: Learning in Higher Education
Theme 6: Adult, Community, and Professional Learning
Theme 7: Learner Diversity and Identities
Theme 8: Technologies in Learning
Theme 9: Literacies Learning
Theme 10: Science, Mathematics, and Technology Learning

CONFERENCE SUBMISSION DEADLINES

We welcome the submission of proposals to the conference at any time of the year before the final Late Proposal Deadline (see below). All proposals will be reviewed within two to four weeks of submission. The dates below serve as a guideline for proposal submission based on our corresponding registration deadlines.

*Advanced Proposal Deadline – 19 September 2016*
Early Proposal Deadline – 19 December 2016
Regular Proposal Deadline – 19 April 2017
Late Proposal Deadline – 19 June 2017

A COLLECTION OF JOURNALS

The Learner Journal Collection, consisting of ten journals and an annual review, aims to be a definitive resource on the meaning and purpose of education, with a focus on innovative pedagogies and a view to new social possibilities through education. The Learner Journal Collection encourages the widest range of submissions and aims to foster the highest standards of intellectual excellence. Articles may be submitted by in-person and virtual participants as well as Community Members.
