We at Institute of Law, Nirma University, Ahmedabad are organising its 4th National Students conference on International Humanitarian Law in association with International Committee on Red Cross (ICRC) on February 20th, 2015

With a vision to highlight the key issues involving International Humanitarian Law, Institute of Law, Nirma University endeavors to invite students, research scholars, academicians, policy makers, practitioners, regulatory bodies, government departments and various other stakeholders to initiate a dialogue on the various themes and to critically analyse the contribution of legal framework and other initiatives to find the way for the future challenges.

Themes of the conference:

2.      The role of Non-State actors in taking forward the humanitarian dialogue.

3.      Privatisation of armed conflict.

4.      Contemporary Challenges in IHL – New Dimensions.

5.      Enforcement of International Humanitarian Law and its challenges.
