The theme of the Second 21st Century Academic Forum Conference at Berkeley is "Embracing Change: Innovative Approaches to 21st Century Teaching and Learning." CALL FOR PROPOSALS http://www.21caf.org/2nd-ber-conference-cfp.html OBJECTIVE The primary aim of the conference is to bring together an international group of researchers and practitioners to encourage and support the development of a new framework for better understanding the dynamic and interconnected nature of education, research, business, and life in the information age. When it takes a mere few seconds to find information about almost any topic, researchers and practitioners need to consider the implications of instant access to information in our traditional system of instruction and assessment. WAYS OF PARTICIPATING * Oral Presenter: 20 - 25 minutes * Poster Presenter: 90 minutes * Absentee Presenter: For those unable to join us in person at Berkeley, we offer the opportunity to participate as an Absentee Presenter. Absentee Presenters can: (1) upload a narrated presentation to our website and social media sites; (2) publish his/her abstract in the Conference Program Book, and (3) publish his/her paper in the Conference Proceedings. * Non-Presenter (Listener): For those interested in attending to participate in the various presentation sessions. KEYNOTE SPEAKER Dr. Helen Hadani, Head of Research at the Center for Childhood Creativity, will explore seven critical components of creativity that are essential for children to develop as they learn to think creatively, work creatively with others, and implement innovations. PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES All papers that meet the 21st Century Academic Forum's Conference Proceedings guidelines will be published in our online Conference Proceedings (ISSN: 2330-1236). The Conference Proceedings editorial board, in turn, works with the editors of our peer-reviewed Journal of 21st Century Education (ISSN: 2330-1244) to select papers for possible publication. FREE WORKSHOPS Take advantage of our free workshops on Academic Presentation Skills and Academic Writing Skills. The workshops provide an opportunity to brush up on your skills and share your writing with peers. ABSTRACT SUBMISSION Submission of your abstract proposal(s) should be made in English through our Online Submission System until the final deadline of JULY 24, 2016. The Conference Committee reviews proposals on a rolling basis and authors will typically receive a decision within two weeks of his/her submission.
