The Workshop will be led by Dr. Upinder Dhar, who has conducted more than 670 management and faculty development programs and more than 65 such Workshops as Facilitator so far. The Faculty of B-schools and Management Institutes located in various parts of the country will be participating in the workshop.
On completion of the workshop, participants would develop the skills to review the literature, develop hypotheses, frame research design, identify sampling techniques and comprehend the role and relevance of the tools for data collection and analysis. The six-day workshop will be exposing the participants to theoretical input on qualitative research techniques, followed by the field work based on syndicates. The participants will be expected to choose a research topic and develop a research paper during the workshop. Subject areas include all functional areas of management, administration and educational research.

From Socrates to John Dewey, and Jean Piaget to Paulo Freire, our understanding of learning has evolved and morphed. The concepts and theories we manage range from learning for learning's sake to vocational training; from a liberal arts education to on-the-job training; and from student centered learning to research informed teaching. Today then, our definitions and models of teaching are vast. In an age of ever faster change and innovation, this plethora of concepts expands incessantly. As we adapt to the radical disruptions of the technological turn post COVID, it can be overwhelming. What this all results in for teachers and learners alike, is an open, and sometimes contested, question. In considering the education sector as now operating 'beyond the curriculum', this conference examines how our teaching has morphed in recent years. Its premise is that we always have, and increasingly need to do more than 'simply teach'. In teaching students to be 'information literate', we provide them with skills for life. In encouraging critical thinking, we help navigate a changed tomorrow. In focusing on transferable skills, we prepare them for complex futures. Through community engagement, we open students to socially conscious models of work. In the new tech-classroom, we do this by combining contemporary tools with established bodies of knowledge. In examining these themes, this conference brings together Glasgow School of Art, United Kingdom; the University of Louisiana, United States; and Wenzhou-Kean University, China. Through examining the roles of these three stakeholders – civil society, government and business - the theme of sustainability innovation will be explored at the Twentieth International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability. Innovations are needed that respect and nurture the ecological realities and planetary boundaries within which all sustainability initiatives take place. Innovation requires participation, with every agent (women, men, children, the elderly, families, villages, business and government) playing an active role in mitigating the impacts of human activity. Education, monitoring and assessment is essential at all levels and across all sectors if environmental policy and governance is to promote adaptations and improvements to our relationship with nature.
