Equitable growth, microeconomics of growth, markets and markets failures, regional development, credit and insurance, political economy and organizational reforms, environment and development.

2. Environmental, Food and Energy, Sustainability

Food and environmental legislation, global warming, green technologies, water conservation, food production and consumption, bio-energy, fossil fuels, unconventional energy resources.

3. Education and Health

Human development, enrolment at various levels (primary, secondary, territory), quality of education, Education policies, access to health care, privatization in education and health, health insurance, morbidity, education, health and labour markets

4. Urbanization and Labour markets

Urban and rural labour markets, formal and informal employment, , demographic changes and labour markets, Labour market policies housing, slums and migration.

5. Poverty and Inequality

Banking and finance, microfinance, SHGs, financial literacy and access, agricultural credit.

7. Macroeconomics

Traditional and modern growth models, geopolitical relations and flow of aids, role of international agencies in equitable development, trade flows and international sanctions, macroeconomic imbalances and impoverishment of masses, prudential macroeconomic policies.

We will be organizing a Research Colloquium on the day of the conference for students of economics, who are in their early stages of research.

Papers or research proposals not exceeding 10,000 words should be submitted as MS Word document via email to aec@nmims.edu.

Important dates

Last date of submission: 10th February, 2020

Notification of accepted papers: 25th February, 2020

Last date for registration: 1st March, 2020

There is no submission fee.

However, authors of papers that are selected for presentation will have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1500. Details regarding mode of payment will be communicated to the selected participants.

Best paper will be awarded a certificate and cash prize.

The attendees will have to bear their own travel and accommodation expenses.
