Council for Social Development, Southern Regional Centre, is an institute of advanced research in the social sciences located in Hyderabad, Telangana. The institute has an active and vibrant research agenda in Development Studies and mentors and trains young researchers in research methods and area specialisations – Displacement and Rehabilitation, Policy Studies, Disability Studies, Gender Studies, Adivasi Studies, Intellectual Property Rights and Socio-Legal research. Applications are invited for the post of RBI Chair Professor from senior social scientists with a specialisation in any aspect of Development Studies and a good publication record. The RBI Chair Professor will join the CSD team in strengthening and expanding the work of the institute alongside taking up specific designated programmes annually under the RBI Scheme. Appointments will be made for a fixed term of three years, in the scale of Rs. 37,400-67,000 + 10,000 AGP for in-service scholars and on consolidated salary for superannuated/independent scholars. Emoluments will be based on norms fixed by ICSSR currently as per 6th Pay Commission recommendations. The age of superannuation in CSD is 60 years. In the case of scholars who have superannuated, the age limit for tenure will be 65 years.
