Dear Sir/Madam,

 

Bureau of Economic Research (BER) of the University of Dhaka is pleased to announce its call for papers and participation for the First BER Annual Economists' Conference 2019 on "Inclusive Growth for Sustainable Development". The Conference will be convened on 6-7 July 2019. The aim of the conference is to bring together academic researchers to promote and exchange ideas in the field of economics and development.

 

We invite submissions from academic researchers, students, and policymakers working on Theoretical or Empirical Economic phenomena. Young economists are particularly encouraged to present their work to an experienced audience.

 

Conference Themes:

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

 

·          Growth and macroeconomic priorities

·         Poverty and inequality

·         Trade and regional integration

·         Migrations, remittances, and emerging labour market challenges

·         Health, nutrition, education, and human capital development

·         Environment, climate change, and their economic impacts

 

 

Important Deadlines:

·         Abstract submission (on or before)          : 25 April 2019

·         Notification of abstract acceptance         : 10 May 2019

·         Last date for conference registration       : 30 May 2019

·         Submission of the first draft                      : 15 June 2019

·         Submission of the PPTs                               : 25 June 2019

·         Conference                                                    : 6-7 July 2019
