Online applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant Grade-I reserved for OBC in the Indian Economic Service Unit (IES) on contract in the scale of pay of Rs. 9300-34800 GP 4600 with usual allowances admissible from time to time for a period of one year at the Institute. Research Assistant will have to facilitate IES Offi cer Trainees in their research. Minimum Qualifi cation: The candidate should have a good academic record, with at least a second class Master's degree in Economics or Econometrics and a year's experience in teaching or research. Candidates should have a sound knowledge of econometrics (including panel data and time series analysis), and profi ciency in statistical packages such as Stata and Eviews. Preference will be given to those who have completed an M.Phil or a Ph.D. degree, have taught econometrics, and analysed data in projects. Knowledge of R Software will also be an asset. The Institute reserves the right not to fi ll up the above position, if circumstances so warrant.
