Following his role in the IISS, Reinhard Drifte had a Visiting Fellowship at St Antony`s College in Oxford, and then held from 1989 until 2002 the Chair of Japanese Studies at the University of Newcastle, and was concurrently Director of the Newcastle East Asia Centre. He is now Professor Emeritus in the University and Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute, London. Reinhard Drifte has published numerous books and articles on Japanese foreign and security policy, as well as on security issues in Northeast Asia. He has taught widely in Asia and Europe, and is a member of various academic associations including the British Association for Japanese Studies and the Kokusai Mondai Kenkyujo (Tokyo). His current research centres on Japanese-Chinese relations, notably the disputes in the East China Sea. Dr. Craig Mark APSec2015 Featured Speaker Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan Craig Mark is an Associate Professor in the School of International Studies at Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan, a post he has held since 2012, and also teaches in the School of Law and Politics. His main areas of teaching and research are in Foreign Policy, International Security, and Australian Politics. Previously he has been a lecturer in International and Australian Politics at both Macquarie University, and the University of New South Wales. Dr Mark is the author of The Causes of Intrastate War and Blainey's Hypothesis; Contemporary Issues in Australian Politics Reader. He is also a contributor to The Conversation and Business Spectator.
