Ganita Sammelan @IIT Gandhinagar

Dear Colleague,

We are delighted to invite you to Ganita Sammelan, a four-day event hosted by IIT Gandhinagar under the banner of its History of Mathematics in India (HoMI) project. This programme is scheduled from January 19 to 22, 2025 and will bring together luminaries in the field, including the Fields Medal awardee Prof. Manjul Bhargava, who will deliver the keynote address.

The conference will include talks by leading experts, a session of fun and games with schoolchildren around the history of mathematics, a panel discussion on new pedagogies, a commemorative session in honour of the late towering scholar Prof. R.C. Gupta, and more. Many sessions will be interactive in nature.

We believe this workshop will be an excellent opportunity for students, researchers, and enthusiasts to delve into the fascinating history of mathematics and connect with leading minds in the field.

For more details about the workshop, including registration, please follow the link

The event's schedule will be uploaded in a few days.
Please note that we can only provide limited accommodation to delegates outside Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar on paying and first-come first-served basis.
We will be grateful if you circulate this information in your academic circle.

Looking forward to your participation,

With warm regards,
Michel Danino
