New academic opportunities from the Virtual Institute network

Dear Vi friends,

I am pleased to forward the following academic opportunities from Vi Russian affiliate member, Saint Petersburg State University (SPSU).

SPSU invites Vi members to submit papers for its upcoming conference, "Evolution of International Trading System: Prospects and Challenges," to be held October 26-28 in Saint-Petersburg.

Conference topics include: trends in international trade and trade policies, regional economic integration in modern times, and foreign direct investment and multinational enterprises, among others.

Applications and abstracts (200 words maximum, title included), as well as conference registration forms should be submitted online by July 10. Full papers (up to 15 000 characters) should be submitted by September 17.

Available are a limited number of grants covering the conference fee.

SPSU is also offering a partial scholarship for its International Summer School in Russian Business, to be held June 26 – July 13. 

The program aims at providing advanced knowledge and exploring the latest strategies and practices on the contemporary Russian business environment. The classes will be delivered in English by leading academics and experienced businessmen working in Russia. Designed for students interested in careers involving Russia, the program provides both valuable practical experience, and theoretical knowledge through classroom instruction.

The cost of the programme is EUR 1290; discounts and scholarships are available.

Applications must be submitted online by May 10.
