Annual International Conference: Early Childhood Care and Education was inspired by ECCE UNESCO conference held in Moscow in 2010. Now it is one of the largest annual international conferences for exchange of ideas through interdisciplinary dialogues among practitioners, teachers, psychologists, policymakers in the sphere of child development and education.

Main aims of the Conference are: bringing the major issues of the early education and the prospects for further research in this field up for discussion, showcasing the latest studies in early education, enhancing collaboration and network cooperation.

ECCE 2017 is organized by Lomonosov Moscow State University and Moscow Academy of Preschool Education and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, the World Bank and has been included in the Activities Plan for the Year of Education of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Every year the Directorate chooses one Partner Country of the Conference. This country becomes widely represented during the Conference, the delegates from the country give detailed reports on the situation in Preschool education in their country and share the experience in the field with the experts and scientific societies from other countries. We sincerely thank our partner countries: Germany (2013), Sweden (2015), and China (2016).

In 2017 the USA will become a Partner Country. The conference was officially encouraged by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the American Psychological Association.

The participants of the conference are: The University of Gothenburg, National Association for the Education of Young Children, American Psychological Association, Nordic Early Childhood Systems Approach Research group, The Russian Psychological Society, Moscow State Pedagogical University, the Institute of Educational Development (Russian Academy of Education), Moscow City University, the Institute of Childhood, Family and Care Studies (Russian Academy of Education).

Official languages of the conference are English and Russian. All events at the conference are provided with simultaneous interpreting.
