Training Programme @ NIT Rourkella

Greetings from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela!

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, NIT Rourkela is pleased to announce A Three Day Short Term Course on "Project Management for Development Professionals and Researchers (PMDPR)" during 27^thto 29^th January, 2017. The primary objective of this training programme is to help the development professionals and researchers to understand the processes involved in the effective planning and subsequent management of projects and how to begin to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required for this. It will strengthen the knowledge on both action research and project management. The approach is participative and interactive and attendees will be asked to discuss aspects of the course in the light of their current or intended projects.

Faculty members of NIT, Rourkela, and experts from premier institutes will deliver lectures, followed by interactive sessions on the subjects.

The training programme is designed for development professionals working in various development sectors and NGOs, research scholars and young researchers who are currently involved in teachings/research in social science and humanities of Central/ state Institution/ University Department, etc.

A maximum of 30 participants will be considered for this training programme. Application will be accepted on first-cum-first serve basis. Accommodation will be provided to out-station participants in the Institute Guest House on twin-sharing basis. Certificate will be given to the participants after successful completion of the Course under the Continuing Education Programme of the Institute.
