It is our pleasure to invite you to the Fifth 21st Century Academic Forum Conference at Harvard on September 27-29, 2016. This highly engaging international conference is a place where academics, researchers, practitioners, administrators, educational leaders, policymakers, industry representatives, and others can meet to share ideas and network at one of the top higher education institutions in the world.

The theme of the Fifth 21st Century Academic Forum Conference at Harvard is "Challenge 2030: Envisioning the Future of Education." The organizers encourage submissions that approach this theme from a variety of perspectives under three topic tracks:

* Education & Workforce Development
* Information Technology
* Innovation & Entrepreneurship

WAYS OF PARTICIPATING

- Oral Presentation: 25 minutes

- Poster Presentation: 3 hours (held on September 28 from the a.m. coffee break through lunch)

- Absentee Presentation: For those who are unable to join us at Harvard, we offer the opportunity to participate as an Absentee Presenter. Absentee Presenters can upload a narrated presentation to our website, have her/his abstract printed in the Conference Program Book, and submit a Conference Proceedings paper.

- Non-Presenter (Listener): For those interested in attending to participate in the various presentations and skill workshop sessions.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Dr. Chris Kaiser
Amgen Professor of Biology and former Provost of MIT

Dr. Chris Kaiser is Amgen Professor of Biology, and former Provost of MIT. He is a dedicated educator of genetics and other problem-based courses. Before becoming provost, Chris served for eight years as head of MIT's Department of Biology. He joined the MIT faculty in 1991, after earning his AB in biochemistry from Harvard University and his PhD in biology from MIT.


Mr. Paul Crockett
CEO and Co-Founder of Authess

Mr. Paul Crockett is CEO and Co-Founder of Authess, an education-technology company focused on authentic, problem-based assessment and learning. With more than twenty years' experience in the educational publishing and technology industry, improving people's lives through learning has been the common thread and passion of his career.

RESEARCH SUPPORT PROGRAM

We offer academic presentation and academic writing skills workshops for participants, providing an excellent opportunity to brush up on skills and learn with and from their colleagues.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

All papers that meet the 21st Century Academic Forum's Conference Proceedings guidelines will be published in our online Conference Proceedings (ISSN: 2330-1236). The editors of our peer-reviewed Journal of 21st Century Education (ISSN: 2330-1244) select the best papers from the Conference Proceedings to appear in thematic issues of the journal.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Submission of your abstract proposal (maximum of 3 submissions) should be made in English through our Online Submission System until the final deadline of August 26, 2016.

REGISTRATION DEADLINES

The final date for presenters to make payment is September 4, 2016, and Non-Presenters (Listeners) can register through September 12, 2016.
