New academic opportunities from the Virtual Institute network as on 7 July 2016

Dear Vi friends,

I am pleased to forward the following academic opportunities from UNCTAD Vi members in Russia and Colombia.

Vi core Russian member, the National Research University Higher School of Economics (NRU HSE) invites Vi members to apply for its new International Trade Policy Master's Programme, to be launched in Moscow in September.

This programme aims to train professionals capable of understanding, analyzing and applying the tools of contemporary trade policy in the global economic environment. Courses will be delivered in English and Russian by a team of professionals in the sphere of international trade, trade policy and global economic regulation.

The two-year programme 2 years also provides opportunities to study abroad at either Vi think tank member, the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (Germany) or core Swiss member, the World Trade Institute.

Applications will be accepted July 1 to August 19. Scholarships may be available, subject to funding.

The Global Entrepreneurship Development Centre (GEDC) has issued a call for papers in preparation for its first conference, "New Frontiers in International Entrepreneurship: Research and Practice," to be held at the Kingston Business School, London October 5 - 7.

Conference organizers welcome unpublished papers, and will present two awards for papers submitted by PhD researchers or young scholars under 40.

Doctoral Candidates are encouraged to participate and present their work in the main conference. Kingston University Business School will offer conference fee waiver for contributing doctoral students and scholars from GEDC partners' institutions.

Extended abstracts (about 1000 words) must be submitted by July 1 to the track chairs below:
