The DIBSRC Conference provides a forum where professionals, academics, and students from all races, religions, faiths, and philosophies can come together to discuss business, finance, law, and the global financial crisis.

In this unique and exciting inter-faith finance and banking event, paper submissions are welcome on the topics of conventional and faith-based finance, banking, accounting, business, e-commerce, start-up funding, private equity, and venture capital. In addition, the financial system shall be explored including framework, ethics, continuity, and crisis.

An industry - academia linkage is expected through this conference thereby providing a platform for industry experts, academics, and students to observe, discuss, and analyze the intersection and interplay between conventional and faith-based business models, strategies, and methods. Issues as well as solutions relating to the business world in the realm of the modern global village are to be tackled in this truly international gathering.

Dr. Muhammad Hanif holds the position of Associate Professor at FAST School of Management, National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan, during which time he has been awarded the prestigious Best University Teacher Award [BUTA] by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. He has over 15 years of University teaching experience and has also held the position of finance manager. Dr. Hanif received MS (Gold Medal) and PhD in finance from the International Islamic University (IIU) in Islamabad. Dr. Hanif also earned a BA and MA (Gold Medal) in Commerce from University of Punjab, Lahore. In addition, Dr. Hanif is a Fellow Member of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) - Pakistan. Dr. Hanif is the author of several Islamic finance books including Islamic Banking: Theory and Practice; Islamic Finance: Theory and Practice; Profit and Loss Sharing (Islamic Finance); Ijarah (Lease) Financing, and Islamic Financing: Shift from Debt to Equity: An Analysis of the Business Framework, all of which are available on amazon.com. He has previously been a Senior Research Fellow at University of Kent (UK) and attended the course on Reading & Writing Strategies at Harvard University. Dr. Hanif is a regular speaker in Islamic finance events and conferences around the world and is regularly published in Islamic finance and banking journals, magazines, and publications.
