Symposium on Business and Economic History 2015

Economic History and Business History CALL:
Symposium on Business and Economic History 2015
Location: Lisbon, Portugal
Conference Date: May 29-30, 2015
Abstract Submission Deadline: February 18, 2015

Join us for a weekend in Lisbon, Portugal, to present, discuss, and fine-tune outstanding papers that fall within the theme of our new peer-reviewed journal, the Historical Review of Business and Economics. For the conference we are soliciting papers that demonstrate potential to be published in the new journal, if the authors choose this option. The conference is also a great networking opportunity, especially during coffee and lunch breaks as well as during the Portuguese welcome dinner.

We are accepting and reviewing work on a rolling basis until February 18, 2015. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit their abstract as soon as possible to allow for sufficient time to settle any questions that the expert panel might have and to provide a comfortable time window for funding and possible travel visa applications.

The abstract should not exceed 300 words. Proposals may cover any topic related to economic history and business history. If you have doubts about whether your proposal fits, please contact us for assistance.

Decisions of acceptance are usually made within 2 weeks after the submission of an abstract. Further information is posted on the conference website:
http://www.econ-history.org/symposium.html

Please submit the abstract by e-mail to Mr. Christian Wolf (no attachments, please put the abstract directly into the e-mail message) to the following address:

Papers presented at the conference may be published in the conference proceedings at the choice of the author(s). If submitted, full papers should consist of approximately 8-20 pages single-spaced. If the author(s) are interested, a paper may be considered for possible publication in the inaugural issue of the peer-reviewed Historical Review of Business and Economics.

This international conference is organized by the Lupcon Center for Business Research, which is based in Germany and has the mission to enhance the collaboration between business and academia through the publication of research, the organization of conferences and seminars, and the facilitation of international collaboration among researchers.
