Conference @ Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, India

Dear Colleagues
It gives me immense pleasure to announce   that Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, Delhi, a premier legal institution, is organizing an International Conference from 25-27 April 2014. The theme for the conference is: Mitigation of Climate Change: Law, Policy and Governance. The Sub Themes include: Understanding Climate Change Causes, Impact of Climate Change: Key Concerns, UNFCCC , Kyoto Protocol and beyond : Key Legal Issues, UNFCCC and International Environmental Principles, The Climate Change  and the International Trade Law, The Climate Change and Human Rights Law, Comparative / Domestic Climate Change Law and Policy etc.
For the last two decades, the international community has been bargaining about who will cut greenhouse gas emissions and at what rate. Recently in November 2013 COP at Warsaw, some developed countries went back on their emission reduction commitments and the principle of Common but Differentiated Responsibility between the developed and developing countries had been neglected. Thus it necessitates consideration of the progress and effect of Climate Change Law at various levels: international, regional and domestic.
Against this backdrop, Campus Law Centre, university of Delhi, takes pride in organizing a three day International Conference on "Mitigation of Climate Change: Law Policy and Governance". It will offer a unique opportunity to the academia and policy makers and others to deliberate upon the issues to be discussed over there.
I look forward to welcome you at CLC in April 2014.
