Seminar on ‘Corporate Governance-Myths and Realities’ @ Albertian Institute of Management

'Governance' is a much misunderstood term in today's world and lends itself to various interpretations. We propose to conduct a seminar that will discuss the issues relating to corporate governance threadbare. The seminar "Corporate Governance-Myths and Realities" is to be organized at the Albertian Institute of Management, the new generation B-School situated in Kochi, the Commercial Hub of Kerala. AIM cordially invites you to attend the seminar and add to the knowledge base of Corporate Governance.

Corporate governance usually refers to the direction in which a corporation is moving and the ways and means by which it achieves its mission and vision. In this context the rights and responsibilities of the various stakeholders have to be clearly defined. Corporate governance usually undertakes the task of monitoring the different activities, policies and choices made by the different stakeholders. The major change that corporations face today is accountability – accountability for the consequences of their actions.  Today's highly connected world makes it impossible for any corporation to hide anything and this adds to the burden of Corporate Governance.

Mr. Rejie George Pallathitta, Associate Professor, IIM, Bangalore is the key resource person for the seminar.
